Come Alive by Mark Victor Hayden

Madamsabi's Blog

We just want to live in a world where we are free

As we come alive in the ghetto to fight for a brighter day
Everyday we have to strive higher touching the sky
Living is never easy when all you know is poverty.
Maybe the sun will shine and the children can play in the streets
The chains will be broken for year’s they have been holding us down
Now we can fly freely like the birds in the sky
Your sorrow has turned to joy
Making way for a beautiful day
Giving us the love that was far away

The Origin Of The Iyewa Lagoon( An African Myth)

Madamsabi's Blog

The Iyewa lagoon located in Ogun State, Nigeria  is  said to have been a woman.

The story runs that a poor woman, named Iyewa, had two children, whom she had a hard struggle to support; but she used every day to go with them into the forest to gather firewood, which she carried to the town and sold for food.

One day, when following her customary avocation, she and the children, finding wood scarce, wandered further into the forest than usual, and, when it was time to return, they could not find their way out. They walked hither and thither looking for the path, but in vain, and at last, tired out and tormented with thirst, they lay down to rest under a large tree. This rested their limbs, but their thirst increased, and the two children filled the forest with their lamentations, crying to their mother for water.

Climb Until Your Dreams Come True Helen Steiner Rice

Madamsabi's Blog

Often your tasks will be many,
And more than you think you can do.
Often the road will be rugged
And the hills insurmountable, too.
But always remember,
The hills ahead

Are never as steep as they seem,
And with Faith in your heart
Start upward
And climb ’til you reach your dream.
For nothing in life that is worthy
Is ever too hard to achieve
If you have the courage to try it,
And you have the faith to believe.
For faith is a force that is greater
Than knowledge or power or skill,
And many defeats turn to triumph
If you trust in God’s wisdom and will.
For faith is a mover of mountains,
There’s nothing that God cannot do,
So, start out today with faith in your heart,
And climb ’til your dream comes true!

Rain Washed by Author Unknown

Madamsabi's Blog

A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.

We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.

The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we…

Sand and Stone

Madamsabi's Blog

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.”

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.”

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”

The other friend replied: “When someone hurts us, we should write…

Be Enthusiastic

Madamsabi's Blog

Nothing great is ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Many decades ago, Charles Schwab, who was earning a salary of a million dollars a year, was asked if he was being paid such a high salary because of his exceptional ability to produce steel.

Charles Schwab replied, “I consider my ability to arouse enthusiasm among the men the greatest asset I possess, and the way to develop the best that is in a man is by appreciation and encouragement.”

Dear Soulmate

Separating ourselves protects love, because in doing that, it is a stand against the things that destroy love. You can be who you are but I will separate myself from you when you overstep my boundaries. you have the freedom to live the way you choose, but if it disrespects me, you cannot come into  my presence.

You have chosen to sacrifice our relationship for the sake of a love affair with sin: addiction and adultery. This says in effect that: “Our relationship is less important than what I want.”

Righteousness and disobedience cannot co-exist. You needed a dose of reality before this sin consumed the innocent ones involved. Thankfully the innocents are saved through the unconditional love of God. Put God first and let everything else fall into place.

Boundaries define and clarify acceptable behaviour. Through serving God and others, there is a sharpening of the mind, a discipline of the body and the softening of the heart. Prayer most certainly changes the one who is praying and my soulmate, I have been praying for you.

In God’s presence there is wisdom, understanding and forgiveness for myself and others. By responding to others instead of reacting to them, I am taught the lesson that man’s rejection is God’s protection. Thank you for rejecting me. When you reject your sin , I will be there to love and support you. Sin has turned your perception of right and wrong, good and bad, upside down. Sin has convinced you that commitment is a trap and continued sin is freedom. My religion compliments my spirituality. I strive for spirituality for thanks to you I have seen hell.

Hell is not hot. Hell is frigid, lonely and devoid of love. Hell is resentment and fear. Hell is comparing your life with others. Now I follow my heart and live in health, contentment, joy, companionship and spiritual love. I am whole in God’s presence. God provides for our daily needs, gives peace, deliverance and protection from evil. Thank you my soulmate for bringing me closer to God. I wish the same for you.

With unconditional love

God Is Always There by M.S.Lowndes

Madamsabi's Blog

We often feel as though
God is far away
And we often feel that He
Is distant when we pray

So often we feel lonely,
Not knowing where to turn
Just a touch from God above,
Our longing spirit yearns

So many times in our lives,
God seems slow to act
We cry out in desperation,
But it’s faith we often lack

For God is not being slow
In coming to our aid
He comes through in His time,
We just need to learn to wait

The Lord is never distant,
He is there by our side
And continues to walk with us
Through the storms in our lives

He always hears our hearts cry
And answers all our prayers,
He won’t leave us all alone,
For God is always there.

Praying Scripture

This has really been working for me and when you try it I sincerely hope it works for you as well.

Gracious Lord may Your Name be praised forever. May we count it all as joy when we face trials of many kinds. For it is through the testing of our faith, we develop a spirit of perseverance. With perseverance comes maturity. With perseverance we are complete. Dear Lord help us to remove all moral filth and prevalent evil. May we humbly accept the Word planted in us which has the power to save us. These things we ask in the name of Jesus Your Son and Our Saviour. Amen.

Inspired by James 1: 2-4; 21

Most High God, Author and Perfecter of Faith, we greatly rejoice at the mention of Your Name. We give you thanks for our trials through which we have suffered all kinds of grief. These trials, like gold refined by fire, have come so that our Faith may be proved genuine. May we praise, glory and honour You when Your Son Jesus Christ is revealed. Who although we have not seen Him we love Him. Although we do not see Him now we believe in Him and we are filled with inexpressible joy. May we continue to receive our goal of the Faith which is the salvation of our souls. Through the name of Our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen

Inspired by 1 Peter 1: 6-9

” For nothing is impossible with God. ” Luke 1:37

Dream : Live life abundantly.

The Sacrifice of Irena Sendler

Madamsabi's Blog

There was a woman who died at the age 98. She was called  Irena Sendler (1910-2008).

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a plumbing/sewer specialist. The truth is, she had an ‘ulterior motive’ as she knew the Nazi’s plans were for the Jews.

As a German, Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried. For bigger kids, she carried it in the back of her truck. She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises. During the period, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids.

She was caught eventually. Irena was tortured and beaten for several days; one leg and one foot were…
